   7:45   -   8:00          Registration 

   8:00   -   9:45        Introduction to Ethics and Professionalism.. Development of  ethics and Professional Responsibility. Analyze authority and function of the Board of Registration for the Profession.  Board Rules and Ethical standards as creating a Standard of Care recognized in defining liability in tort and contract law. Board adaptation of NCEES Model Rules of Professional Conduct.  Defining and understanding conflicts of interest involved with ethical judgments.  Review disciplinary procedure from initial complaint to final order.  Review of penalties after Board adjudication of guilt. 

    9:45  -    10:00     Break 

    10:00 - 12:00        Review language of various subsections of the Engineering and Land Surveying Statutes passed by the legislative directives for the board to implement and specific conduct required to comply.  Review Board rules and Board adopted Code of Ethics.  Define and review prohibited conduct.

   12:00 -  1:00           Lunch

    1:00   - 2:30           Case study of 15 fact situations with correlations to code sections. Class discussion and debate . (Socratic Method).  Summary and Questions.

    2:30  -  2:45           Break

    2:45   -  4:45        Continue case study of 15 additional situations with correlations to code sections. Class discussion and debate (Socratic Method).  Summary and Questions
